The number of new energy vehicles reached 11.49 million, with 3.713 million newly registered in the first three quarters. By the end of September, the number of new energy vehicles in China had reached 11.49 million, accounting for 3.65% of the total. Among them, the number of pure electric vehicles is 9.26 million, accounting for 80.56% of the total number of new energy vehicles. In the first three quarters of 2022, there were 3.713 million new energy vehicles registered nationwide, an increase of 1.842 million or 98.48% over the same period of last year, accounting for 21.34% of the newly registered vehicles. In the third quarter of this year, the number of newly registered new energy vehicles reached 1.495 million, and the monthly average number of newly registered vehicles was 498,000, which was significantly higher than the monthly average of 370,000 in the first half of this year.
In the first three quarters, the used car market remained active, with 16.4 million motor vehicle transfers registered. In the first three quarters of 2022, local public security traffic control departments handled a total of 16.4 million motor vehicle transfer registrations (transactions), of which 15.35 million were motor vehicle transfer registrations, accounting for 93.55%. In the first three quarters of this year, the ratio of car transfer registration to new car registration reached 1: 1.13, which was significantly higher than 1: 1.24 in the same period last year. In recent years, the Ministry of Public Security, together with the Ministry of Commerce and other departments, has promoted the reform measures to facilitate the registration of second-hand car transactions in different places, thus better promoting the circulation of second-hand cars. The number of cars in 82 cities exceeds 1 million, and in 21 cities including Beijing, Chengdu and Chongqing, the number exceeds 3 million. By the end of September, there were 82 cities in China with more than 1 million cars, an increase of 6 cities, 38 cities with more than 2 million cars and 21 cities with more than 3 million cars. There are more than 6 million cars in Beijing, 5 million in Chengdu and Chongqing, and 4 million in Suzhou, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Xi 'an and Wuhan.

At present, the number of drivers with C6 quasi-driving type has reached 346,000, which can better meet the travel demand of people driving small caravans and promote the development of new RV tourism.
