In September, I walked into Dunhuang Optoelectronic Industrial Park, which is half an hour's drive west of Dunhuang City. More than 10,000 giant heliostats were evenly spread around the molten salt tower, shining brightly in the sunshine.
At present, China has built the largest power station with the highest heat absorption tower and continuous power generation-Dunhuang 100 MW Molten Salt Tower Photothermal Power Station is located here.
It is reported that Dunhuang Optoelectronic Industrial Park is the optoelectronic industrial park with the largest concentrated contiguous area and the largest installed capacity in the province, and it is also the 'first demonstration base of one million kilowatt solar photovoltaic power generation' approved by the state. At present, the built-up area of the industrial park is over 60 square kilometers, with 36 enterprises, including 32 power generation enterprises and 4 supporting equipment manufacturing and service enterprises.
In the construction of photoelectric industrial park, Dunhuang City has integrated new industry and tourism, built the park as a scenic spot, built the project as a scenic spot, and successfully built the industrial park as a national 3A-level tourist spot, attracting many tourists to visit.
'After reading it, it was very shocking! Here, I not only learned the knowledge of new energy, but also saw the operation process of solar thermal power generation and touched the giant heliostat. This trip is worth it! ' Huang Ke, a Shanxi tourist who drove all the way to Dunhuang, said.
The vast Gobi Desert, abundant light, heat and wind resources provide Dunhuang with extremely favorable conditions for the development of photovoltaic and wind power industries. Based on this, Dunhuang vigorously develops the new energy industry and expands the green economy.
In July this year, the first wind turbine of the 49.5 MW wind power project in Dunhuang Haizhuang Beihu began to be hoisted. This project is the first wind power project in Dunhuang City. After completion, the average annual power generation can reach 145.87 million kWh, and the estimated annual output value is 42 million yuan.
The 40 MW photovoltaic power generation project in Dunhuang, Long Yuan, located in Dunhuang Optoelectronic Industrial Park, has a designed annual power generation capacity of 93,421,500 kWh, and has been connected to the grid with full capacity since the end of last year.
At the same time, the newly-built and continued photovoltaic power generation projects in Dunhuang Photoelectric Industrial Park, such as 60 MW in Three Gorges New Energy Dunhuang, 20 MW in TBEA Dunhuang, 50 MW in Zhuomao and 30 MW in China Energy Saving Dunhuang, are also in full swing.
Dunhuang continues to expand the new energy industry, and strives to promote the demonstration project of multi-energy complementation, integration of source, network, load and storage, and the construction of power transmission and distribution projects such as booster stations and transmission lines. 2,259 megawatts of photovoltaic projects have been approved successively, and 1,159 megawatts of photovoltaic projects have been completed, of which 999 megawatts are photovoltaic and 160 megawatts are solar thermal. One 750 kV substation, two 330 kV substations and eleven 110 kV booster stations for new energy power transmission have also been built in the city. In 2021, Dunhuang's new energy generation capacity was 1.81 billion kWh, and its sales revenue was 1.56 billion yuan, up by 28.8% and 39.3% respectively.
In addition, Dunhuang City has completed the planning of multi-energy complementary new energy comprehensive base, and has passed the review of the National Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design. It is planned that by 2030, the total installed capacity of the base power supply will reach 17 million kilowatts, the annual transmission power will be 38.7 billion kilowatt hours, and the annual utilization hours of the channel will be 4,838 hours. Dunhuang has also strengthened the recruitment of new energy supporting equipment manufacturing projects in an all-round way, and made efforts to build a new energy base of the whole industrial chain integrating solar heat, photovoltaic, wind power, energy storage and equipment manufacturing.
