The reporter learned from the Provincial Traffic Police Corps that the number of motor vehicles in the province maintained a growth trend in the first half of the year, with the number of new energy vehicles and the number of registrations increasing by 94.8% and 136.6% respectively.
By the end of June, the number of motor vehicles in the province had reached 24,243,800 (excluding tractors), an increase of 5.01% over the previous year. Among them, the number of vehicles in Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi, Nantong and Xuzhou exceeded 2 million; The number of motor vehicle drivers in the province was 32,762,100, a year-on-year increase of 3.67%; The number of newly registered motor vehicles reached 1.011 million, a year-on-year decrease of 20.02%.
New energy vehicles usher in a consumption boom. By the end of June, the number of new energy vehicles in the province was close to 700,000, an increase of 94.8% over the same period of last year. Among them, the number of pure electric vehicles reached 600,000, accounting for 86.9% of the total number of new energy vehicles; In the first half of the year, the number of new energy vehicles registered in the province exceeded 200,000, a year-on-year increase of 136.6%, accounting for 21.9% of the total number of registered vehicles. According to the monthly data of the first half of the year, the proportion of new energy vehicle registrations in the total number of vehicle registrations is on the rise, from 17% at the beginning of the year to 23% in June.
With the implementation of a series of measures, such as the complete cancellation of restrictions on the movement of used car circulation and the optimization of transaction registration management, the number of automobile transfer registrations in our province continues to grow, and the used car transactions are becoming increasingly active. From January to June this year, the province handled more than 1.16 million motor vehicle transfer registrations. Among them, there are more than 980,000 transfers within the jurisdiction, and more than 80,000 transfers across cities and provinces in the province.
