More and more new energy vehicles are driving in the vast countryside of Liuzhou. On July 15th, Wei Honglin, the first resident secretary of Liniao Village, Banlan Town, Rong 'an County, drove a new energy vehicle to Chang 'an Town to attend the meeting.

'In February of this year, I bought a new energy vehicle with convenient charging and low cost.' Wei Honglin, 28, said that when the oil price rose, he felt that he had bought it right. 'It can also be charged at home. The electricity cost per kilometer is about 1 dime, which is much less than that of gasoline cars.'

In the streets and villages of Rong 'an, more and more people are joining the wave of using new energy vehicles. 'New energy vehicles of various brands can be seen everywhere in Liniao Village.' Wei Honglin said.

Wei Honglin's statement was supported by Huang Jie, general manager of Rongan Yida Automobile Sales & Service Co., Ltd. 'In the first half of this year, the company sold 129 new energy vehicles, a significant increase compared with last year's sales.' Huang Jie said.

Rong 'an is one of the counties in Liuzhou where the new energy automobile industry develops rapidly. According to the data provided by Liuzhou Development and Reform Commission, as of the end of June this year, the number of new energy vehicles in five counties under the jurisdiction of Liuzhou reached 20,059, accounting for 7.2% of the total number of vehicles. By the end of 2020, the number of new energy vehicles in five counties was only 9,585.

Hua Yong, a fourth-level researcher of Liuzhou Development and Reform Commission, believes that new energy vehicles can smoothly 'sail' to the county and meet people's growing travel needs, thanks to the more mature core technologies of new energy vehicles, higher consumer acceptance and the improvement of rural road conditions. At the same time, the city has brought five counties into the promotion and application scope of the whole city, started with the new charging infrastructure, constantly improved the layout of county charging network, and made it an excellent environment for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles in the county.

It is reported that at present, Rong 'an, Liucheng and Luzhai counties have each built a large-scale exclusive charging service station, Rongshui Miao Autonomous County and Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County are planning to build charging service stations, and new energy private cars and logistics vehicles are emerging in the counties, becoming the preferred means of transportation for the people.

Guangxi Kunyu Technology Co., Ltd., a new energy facility service provider, is increasing the layout of county charging stations. Zeng Chan, the chairman of the company, introduced that the company's new energy charging stations not only spread all over Liuzhou, but also 'settled down' in some towns and villages such as Liucheng and Rongshui.

Guangxi Liuzhou Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid is also speeding up the extension of charging network to the county. Meng Feng, manager of the bureau's power supply service center, said that by the end of this year, charging stations will be fully covered in 79 towns and villages in Liuzhou, building a green bridge for new energy vehicles to go to the countryside.

The increasing number of new energy vehicles in the county is only a microcosm of the rapid development of the promotion and application of new energy vehicles in Liuzhou. By the end of June, the number of new energy vehicles in the city was 131,000, accounting for 13.01% of the total number of vehicles. From January to June, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in Liuzhou was 54.63%, which is equivalent to 54 new energy vehicles out of every 100 vehicles sold in the auto market.
