China Economic Net April 19th (Reporter Chen Mengyu) Yesterday, the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that in the first quarter, in the face of the multiple challenges brought by the increasingly complicated international environment and frequent domestic epidemics, the national economy continued to resume its development trend, and the economic operation was generally stable. The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 6.5% year-on-year.
Among them, the added value of automobile manufacturing industry increased by 4.0% in the first quarter, but decreased by 1.0% in March. In terms of capacity utilization, in the first quarter, the automobile manufacturing industry decreased by 6.4 percentage points year-on-year to 72.1%; However, thanks to the substantial increase in the output of new energy vehicles by 140.8% year-on-year to 1.346 million, the total automobile production in China still reached 6.673 million, up by 4.9% year-on-year.
On the consumer side, the total retail sales of social consumer goods in China in the first quarter was 10,865.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%; The total retail sales of automobile consumer goods was 1,073.9 billion yuan, a slight decrease of 0.3% year on year.
In terms of exports, in the first quarter, the national industrial export delivery value increased by 14.4% year-on-year, among which the automobile manufacturing industry and special equipment manufacturing industry in export delivery value increased by more than 20%.
In this regard, Fu Linghui, spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics and director of the General Statistics Department of National Economy, said that in the first quarter, the national economy continued to resume its development trend, and industrial production grew rapidly, which not only had the impact of domestic economic recovery and the recovery of the world economy, but also had the driving force of industrial innovation and industrial upgrading, as well as the role of strengthening market security and supply and the rapid growth of related industries.
He further analyzed that, despite the recent epidemic situation, consumption growth has been restrained to some extent, and there is some pressure on short-term economic operation. However, as the epidemic situation is gradually brought under control, the employment priority policy will continue to exert its strength, which will promote residents' spending power and willingness to spend. From the whole year, the recovery of consumption is expected to continue.
The data shows that the final consumption expenditure in the first quarter boosted the national GDP by 3.3%, with a contribution rate of 69.4%. Fu Linghui believes that actively promoting the expansion of large-scale consumption such as new energy vehicles and green smart home appliances, promoting the deep integration of online and offline consumption, developing new consumption formats and models, and accelerating the upgrading and expansion of rural consumption market will further stimulate the sustained growth of consumption.
