It is reported that the 'Nissan 2030 vision' plans to invest 2 trillion yen in the next five years to accelerate the layout of electric drive products and technological innovation, so as to realize the carbon neutralization of the whole enterprise's operation and product life cycle by 2050. In the next decade, Nissan will continue to expand its global business segment and launch electric models and innovative technologies.
In order to meet the diversified needs of consumers for electric drive models, Nissan plans to launch 23 electric drive models by fiscal year 2030, including 15 pure electric models. The proportion of electric drive models of Nissan and Infiniti brands will exceed 50%. In the next five years, Nissan will launch 20 pure electric vehicles and models equipped with Nissan E-power technology. By fiscal year 2026, the electric vehicle type planned to be sold in the Chinese market will account for more than 40% of its total sales.

While continuing to focus on the research and development of lithium-ion battery technology and introducing cobalt free technology, Nissan plans to launch an electric vehicle equipped with original all solid-state battery by fiscal year 2028, and plans to build a pilot plant in Yokohama, Japan in fiscal year 2024. The all solid state battery can shorten the charging time to one third of the original, making the electric vehicle more efficient and convenient. It is planned to reduce battery costs by 65% by fy2028. The all solid state battery can reduce the cost of the battery pack to $75 per kWh. At the same time, through continuous innovation, the cost will be further reduced to $65 per kwh in the future, so as to realize the cost parity of electric vehicles and fuel vehicles.
In the future, Nissan will provide more consumers with advanced assisted driving and intelligent technology to strengthen the advantages of mobile travel. It is planned that by fiscal year 2026, more than 2.5 million vehicles of Nissan and Infiniti brands will be equipped with propilot super intelligent driving technology. Nissan will further develop automatic driving technology and plan to carry the next generation lidar system on all new models by fiscal year 2030.
