In 2021, Hainan made remarkable achievements in the promotion of new energy vehicles. According to preliminary statistics, in 2021, the province promoted more than 58000 new energy vehicles, accounting for nearly 7.2%, nearly 5 percentage points higher than the national average. This was learned by the reporter of Hainan Daily from the Provincial Department of industry and information technology on January 11.

It is reported that the market penetration of new energy vehicles in Hainan has increased to 25.8%, 13.1 percentage points higher than the national average, and the proportion of new energy vehicles in Hainan has steadily ranked among the 'first phalanx' in China.

According to the notice of Hainan Provincial Department of industry and information technology, Hainan Provincial Department of Finance and Hainan Provincial Department of public security on the application of comprehensive incentives for promoting new energy vehicle consumption in Hainan Province in 2021, the time limit for the application of comprehensive incentives for promoting new energy vehicle consumption in Hainan Province in 2021 will end on January 15, 2022. The Provincial Department of industry and information technology reminds users who meet the application conditions to apply in time, Failure to declare within the time limit shall be deemed to give up the qualification of reward.

The reward objects of the comprehensive reward policy are the motor vehicle owners who purchase new energy vehicles in the automobile sales enterprises of our province and register with the traffic management department of the public security organ of our province. The following conditions must be met:

1 new energy vehicles mainly include pure electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles (including incremental programs) and fuel cell vehicles

2. Vehicles must be registered for the first time and obtain the special license plate for new energy vehicles

3 vehicles purchased from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 and registered for the first time before January 15, 2022 (including vehicles purchased in December 2020 and registered for the first time before January 15, 2021)

4 if a new energy vehicle purchased by a non individual user applies for a reward, the ownership of the vehicle cannot be transferred within two years from the date of initial registration and licensing
