The reporter learned from the Provincial Energy Bureau that by the end of May, the installed capacity of wind power generation projects in the province had reached 12,324,200 kilowatts, including 8,671,500 kilowatts of wind power and 3,652,700 kilowatts of solar power.

The new energy represented by wind energy, solar energy and biomass energy has great development potential and is one of the inherent advantages of Jilin Province. As early as more than ten years ago, the western region of Jilin Province was approved to build one of the first batch of seven 10-megawatt wind power bases in China. In recent years, Jilin Province has actively deployed, steadily promoted the development and utilization of new energy, promoted the development of new energy equipment manufacturing industry, and realized the mutual promotion of resource development and equipment manufacturing.

Especially in October last year, the 'Landscaped Three Gorges Project' was launched in an all-round way. The main area of the project covers 3 cities and 11 counties (cities, districts) with an area of about 51,000 square kilometers, and it is the core area of the national Songliao new energy base. By 2025, three 10-megawatt new energy bases will be built for consumption, delivery and hydrogen production. At the same time, the high-quality development strategy of 'one master and six pairs' put forward by Jilin Province has raised the development and utilization of new energy to a strategic level. By building a national clean energy base in western China, it firmly grasps the initiative of energy security, thus providing lasting power for Jilin's economic and social development.
