On May 12th, Hu Zucai, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at the press conference in Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China that it is necessary to vigorously develop new energy, and plan to build a 450-million-kilowatt large-scale wind power photovoltaic base in desert, Gobi and desert areas. The 85-million-kilowatt project has already started construction.
The second batch of projects are paying close attention to the preliminary work and speeding up the construction of a new energy supply and consumption system. To improve the level of clean and efficient utilization of coal, all coal-fired generating units with power supply coal consumption exceeding 300g/kWh should be upgraded.
