The reporter learned from the State Grid Qinghai Electric Power Company that in recent years, the State Grid Qinghai Electric Power Company has innovatively carried out research on the application of shared energy storage, and put forward the concept of 'shared energy storage' for the first time in China, integrating the energy storage resources of power supply, users and power grid, and optimizing the configuration with the power grid as the central platform. Recently, the cumulative additional new energy generated by Qinghai Power Grid shared energy storage power station exceeded 100 million kWh for the first time.

Qinghai is rich in clean energy, and developing energy storage industry is an important means to support large-scale development of clean energy. At present, the main scenarios of domestic energy storage applications are the independent construction and use of power supply side, load side and power grid side, which are generally independent, scattered and low in utilization rate.

In order to fully release the development potential of energy storage in Qinghai Power Grid, in recent years, Qinghai Electric Power Company, the State Grid of China, for the first time brought the energy storage power station into the auxiliary power service market as an independent entity in China, and put forward the bilateral negotiation, bilateral bidding marketization transaction mode and unilateral call transaction mode, which was approved by Northwest Supervision Bureau of National Energy Administration.

The data shows that as of the end of February this year, Qinghai Power Grid has installed 363,000 kilowatts of electrochemical energy storage, of which 2 power stations participating in shared energy storage have installed 82,000 kilowatts, and a total of 366 new energy power generation enterprises have participated in shared energy storage transactions.
