According to industry experts, the condenser is known as the 'voltage regulator' of the power grid and has been widely used on the 'power grid side'. However, the 'power supply side' application is still the first time. Qinghai Province is blessed with solar energy, wind energy and other new energy resources, and new energy power generation accounts for a high proportion. According to the characteristics of intermittency, randomness and fluctuation of new energy, the installation of small distributed condenser on the 'power side' is conducive to the safe and stable operation of new energy UHV DC transmission project.

It is understood that the 21 new energy distributed condenser groups completed and put into operation this time are the first and largest new energy distributed condenser groups in the world. Among them, 21 adjustable cameras are independently developed and produced in China, with complete intellectual property rights, good dynamic performance, strong overload capacity and other advantages.

After this condenser group is put into operation, Qinghai Province is expected to generate 7.02 billion kwh of new energy power per year. If all of it is transmitted to central China, it can replace 3.189 million tons of local thermal power raw coal and reduce 5.742 million tons of carbon dioxide per year.
